‘Dancing With the Stars’ says goodbye to fan favorite in double elimination

“Dancing With the Stars” is back on track.
After a week break and back-to-back performances on “Soul Train Night” on Oct. 7 and “Hair Metal Night” on Oct. 8, two more couples left the competition in a double elimination.
During elimination night, the 11 remaining couples danced to classic rock anthems alongside guest judge and rock ‘n’ roll superstar Gene Simmons of KISS.
Heading into the night, Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong were at the top of the leaderboard while Reginald VelJohnson and Emma Slater found themselves at the bottom. After the judges’ scores and viewers vote, one more couple gets closer to the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.
As the stars were deep in the competition, co-host Julianne Hough joked about having another headline-making Anna Delvey “nothing” moment with Eric Roberts. After being eliminated, the convicted con artist was asked what she would take from her “DWTS” experience, to which she replied, “Nothing.”
Roberts, who wasn’t thrilled with his performance, had few words for Hough when asked how he felt ahead of getting his scores. “Is this another ‘nothing’ moment,” Hough said, as Roberts looked surprised and said, “No, no!”
Olympian Ilona Maher also had an emotional moment when she was receiving her feedback from the judges. In tears, the athlete was tough on herself telling Hough ahead of her scores, “This was a really tough dance for me… you do it so well in rehearsal and then you mess it up.”
In an exciting twist, former Bachelor Joey Graziadei and partner Jenna Johnson ended the night at the top of the leaderboard with an overall total of 70 out of 80 points.
