So say cops, who allege the 47-year-old Missouri woman tried to kill her husband by poisoning his beloved Mountain Dew soft drink.
Sparking her alleged fizzy fury was that the unnamed man “didn’t appreciate” all that she did for him.
Peters was arrested on first-degree assault and armed criminal action charges.
She is being held without bond in the Laclede County Detention Center.
According to investigators, the mom and esthetician began spiking her husband’s Mountain Dew with the deadly weed killer Roundup beginning in early May and continuing into June.
But it appears that her husband was onto the alleged soda sadist: On Sunday, he provided video footage to police showing Peters adding an insecticide chaser to his pop.

The target of her ire began noticing an odd taste in his favourite soda on May 1. Still, he was not going to be denied and continued doing the Dew.
But he began suffering from a sore throat, coughing up mucus, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting.
Realizing he was the only family member with a taste for the hillbilly treat, he concluded his drink was being tampered with.
Michelle Peters was eventually confronted by her husband. She blew off his health issues as a result of COVID-19 and urged him to stay away from their grandchildren.
He didn’t think it was the virus: Hubby believed he was being poisoned for his $500,000 life insurance policy, Ozarks First reports.
After delving further into the Dew drama, he discovered video of his wife allegedly poisoning his sodas that were kept in a fridge in the garage.

When confronted by detectives, Peters owned up to adding the weed killer to her husband’s Mountain Dew. But, she said, her efforts were part of a scheme to create a better weed killer.
In addition, she copped to adding insecticide to the soda because she thought it was a bottle of Roundup.
Peters told investigators she was angry with her husband because he showed zero appreciation for the 50th birthday bash she put on for him. Besides, she added, he was “selfish and they had relationship issues.”
Spiking his soda was a way for her to be “mean” to him.
Her husband survived the poisoning however his current condition is unknown.
One of the chemicals in Roundup is Glyphosate. The agent can cause mouth and throat pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea — and death.
Peters remains locked up and is currently awaiting a bond review hearing scheduled for July 2.
