Apple AirPods Are Going for Some of Their Cheapest Prices Ever This Prime Day

Amazon Prime Day has deals on coveted Apple AirPods, including the popular Apple AirPods Pro and AirPods Max headphones. Both are likely to be in demand and at high risk of selling out before the first day of the sale wraps. And if you’re looking to spend under $100, check out the brand’s wildly popular Apple AirPods (second generation), which are going for $80 while these deals last.

Amazon Prime Day Apple AirPods Deals

As someone who’s tested and written about Apple AirPods for more than five years, I have plenty to share about each model, including my favorite: the Apple AirPods Pro. If you’re going to grab a pair on Prime Day, this edition is the way to go if you’re after a great value and all of the best features. 

Apple AirPods Pro (Second Generation)

The AirPods Pro were upgraded back in 2022 with several new features, including a longer battery life, volume touch controls on the stem of the AirPods, and the best upgrade of them all: active noise cancellation that’s two times stronger than its predecessor. Unlike the second generation of AirPods, the Pro version comes with noise-canceling and transparency modes. The Pro also comes with interchangeable ear tips in several sizes for a more custom fit, and they’re sweat- and water-resistant. 

I use these earbuds every day for all kinds of activities, like listening to music while working out, commuting to the office, streaming podcasts while running errands, and tuning out distractions, so I can focus at work. Their long battery life, comfortable feel, and impressive noise cancellation make them my favorite headphones ever. If they were ever damaged or lost, I’d replace them immediately.  

Apple AirPods (Second Generation)

Shoppers who are after the absolute cheapest deal should check out the second generation Apple AirPods, which are going for $80. These earbuds have everything that made AirPods famous when they first launched, including a truly wireless design, in-case charging with up to 24 hours of battery life, and fast Bluetooth pairing. This edition has earned more than 541,000 five-star ratings with owners calling them “impressive” and “incredibly handy.” 

Apple AirPods (Third Generation)

If you’re looking for more of a middle ground in terms of prices and features, consider the third generation of Apple AirPods. This now-$120 version is cheaper than the Pro, but shares several features, like up to 30 hours of in-case charging and a sweat- and water-resistant design. They also come with all the standard features you’ll find with the second edition.

Apple AirPods Max Headphones

Apple AirPods Max are also on sale for Prime Day. The now-$400 over-ear headphones are a little pricey, but they’re well-suited for Apple fans who love the look and feel of traditional headphones and are willing to pay a bit more for some awesome features. Just like the Pro, these boast noise canceling and transparency modes and an adjustable fit. They also offer the longest battery life on a single charge. You’ll get up to 20 hours of power with these. And they’re the only AirPods that come in several colors.
