The British group also shared the news in a press release, revealing plans for performances in the U.K. and Ireland as part of the domestic leg of the “Oasis Live ’25” world tour. In summer 2025, Oasis will visit Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin.

“Their only shows in Europe next year, this will be one of the biggest live moments and hottest tickets of the decade,” the band said in the release.

Oasis also shared “plans are underway” for the tour “to go to other continents outside of Europe later” in 2025.

How to get tickets to Oasis’ world tour

Tickets for Oasis’ U.K. tour dates will go on sale Saturday, Aug. 31, at 9 a.m. BST (4 a.m. ET).

Fans can purchase tickets from ticketmaster.co.uk, gigsandtours.com and seetickets.com, according to the band’s press release.

Dublin tickets will be available from 8 a.m. that same day from ticketmaster.ie.

Oasis hasn’t performed together in 15 years

Fans started getting excited about a possible reunion of the famed British band after seeing a cryptic Instagram post on the group’s official page as well as comments on X by band member Liam Gallagher.

The chart-topping band led by the frequently feuding Gallagher brothers has been broken up since August 2009, when Noel Gallagher, 57, announced he quit Oasis following a show at a festival in Paris. Multiple reports at the time said the brothers had a brawl backstage before the show.

Fans have been hopeful the siblings have patched things up and anticipated the reunion announcement. The Oasis Instagram account shared a graphic on Aug. 25 with the date Aug. 27, 2024, and the time of 8 a.m. The Instagram accounts for Liam and Noel Gallagher also posted the graphic.

Breathless fans responded on Instagram.

“Please don’t play with my heart,” one wrote.

“It’s happening,” another posted with eyes and fire emoji.

Even celebrities chimed in on social media, with British musician James Blunt posting a photo of himself with Noel Gallagher and writing, “IT’S ON — The reunion the world has been waiting for…”

Liam Gallagher, 51, spent Aug. 25 replying to fans and critics on X after reunion rumors initially began swirling earlier in the weekend.

“I never did like that word FORMER,” he posted.

Liam Gallagher also replied to a fan asking when dates for a reunion tour would be released.

“Nxt Friday,” he wrote.

A report by London’s The Times cited industry insiders saying the band will play a series of shows in the summer of 2025 at Heaton Park in Manchester and Wembley Stadium in London. Liam Gallagher responded to a post on X about the report.

“See you down the front,” he wrote.

The brothers’ reps did not immediately respond to NBC News’ requests for comment.

Liam Gallagher also played a solo show at the Reading Festival in England on Aug. 25, where he dedicated the song “Half the World Away” to Noel Gallagher, according to the BBC.

The cryptic hints come nearly 30 years to the day after Oasis burst into stardom with the release of its debut album, “Definitely Maybe,” which was the fastest-selling debut album in British history at that point.

Oasis followed that with “(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?” in 1995, another multiplatinum album that includes the classic “Wonderwall.”

The brothers have each pursued solo work in the 15 years since Oasis called it quits.
