Alexis Bellino is engaged to John Janssen after a whirlwind romance.
The “Real Housewives of Orange County” star, 47, revealed the news on Instagram, sharing a photo of her sitting with her arm around Janssen with her engagement ring on display.
“On Cloud 9,” Bellino wrote in the caption, adding multiple heart emoji. “Celebrating 9 months of love and laughter, and looking forward to my forever with you. Every moment together has been a gift. I am so in love with you and the beautiful life we’re building together with our kids. And the answer is 100000000% yes.”
She also included a Biblical verse: “1 Corinthians 13:13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
Bellino and Janssen met in November 2023 and went public with their relationship the following month.
They began dating about a year after Janssen called it quits with “RHOC” star Shannon Storms Beador, and their relationship has been a hot topic on the current season of the reality series.
Beador has not held back when it comes to sharing her feelings about Bellino dating her ex.
“I just think that the way Alexis and John have publicly displayed their relationship, I would have maybe been a little bit more quiet about it,” Beador told TODAY.com in July. “I have been more quiet on social media. I don’t choose to live my entire life and choose to make my arguments with people publicly. If you’re so happy, just be happy. And you don’t need to advertise it.”

They tried to ‘fight the feelings’ after they met
Bellino and Janssen met in November at The Quiet Woman restaurant in California’s Corona Del Mar neighborhood, the site of many memorable “RHOC” moments, including Beador’s infamous argument with Kelly Dodd in 2017.
“Nov. 18 is the day that John Janssen walked into my life. I met John at Quiet Woman. Shannon does not own Quiet Woman; I’ve been going there for over two decades,” Bellino said in the “RHOC” Season 18 premiere.
“John walks in and ends up sitting at my booth. We tried to fight the feelings. After week two, John and I knew that was it. I don’t know Shannon, I’m not friends with Shannon, and unfortunately your heart wants what it wants, and here we are. Take us or leave us.”
Bellino joined the “RHOC” in Season 5 but departed after the eighth season before recently returning for Season 18. Beador became a cast member in Season 9 after Bellino’s exit and has been a part of the show ever since.
Bellino and Janssen went Instagram official in December 2023 with a Christmas post.
“Johnny J, let everyone talk. But you have shown me love that I’ve never known. I love you,” Bellino captioned a photo of her cozying up to Janssen.
Since then, Bellino has continued to share Instagram posts celebrating their relationship, including one post in February shooting down rumors that they had broken up.
“Sorry guys, still going strong♥️ Headed to workout now! Don’t believe everything you hear!” she wrote in the caption.
They got engaged on their 9-month anniversary
Bellino shared more details about their engagement in an Aug. 29 Instagram post, explaining that Janssen popped the question on Aug. 27 during a trip to the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, California.
“Our 9 month anniversary was already perfection but became even more perfect when @johnwjanssen proposed last night!!!” she captioned her post. “My hair was frizzy, my nails are NOT DONE!!!! And my outfit was sub par. BUT the moment was pure perfection. In the most exclusive, secluded, intimate, loving, moment.”
What Janssen and Beador have said about their past relationship
Janssen reflected on his past relationship with Beador in a recent interview on the “Reality with The King’ podcast.
“I want to say that my relationship with Shannon was real. She has a wonderful side to her,” he said in the July 30 episode, in which he appeared jointly with Bellino. “But I think people out there just assume, ‘John was the problem in the relationship,’ and I would just challenge people to think about what it might be like to be with Shannon.”
“I will say that, ‘What was it like?’ It was, ‘What is it like to fail every day, all day, every day? To fail at everything?’ That’s what it felt like to date her,” he added.
He also compared his past relationship with Beador to his current dynamic with Bellino.
“This is what it’s supposed to be like,” he said. “There’s a lot of stress that’s gone from my life.”
Janssen and Beador began dating in 2019, and they were together until Janssen ended their relationship in late 2022.
“I’ve never loved anyone more in my life,” Beador said of Janssen in a January 2023 People interview. “I was hopeful this was the man I was going to spend the rest of my life with. I wanted it to work out. I’ve never loved anyone like I’ve loved John. But clearly, he didn’t feel the same way.”
Last year, Beador told People that she and Janssen had been dating again when she was arrested in September 2023 on suspicion of drunk driving and a misdemeanor hit-and-run.
In response to this, Bellino shared a screenshot of the People article about Beador’s claim and penned a lengthy note to the “RHOC” star on Instagram.
“Shannon, your obsession with John needs to end. I know my relationship with John has been a saving grace for you, as you have been eagerly mentioning our names in every interview in an effort to bypass all accountability for your arrest,” Bellino wrote. “I ask you with all sincerity to please stop exploiting us in your manipulative sympathy tour. John and I just want to live happily in peace, and we wish you the same.”
Bellino and Janssen have opened up about their love for each other
Since Season 18 of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” premiered in July, Bellino has been gushing about her love for Janssen on social media.
“The couples that are ‘meant to be’ are the ones who go through everything that is meant to tear them apart and come out even stronger than they were before,” she wrote in a July 17 Instagram post.
She and Janssen also opened up about their relationship in their July 30 interview with the “Reality with The King” podcast.
“I tell her she’s perfect all the time, and she is perfect for me,” he said of Bellino. “She is confident, she is — it’s an overused phrase — but she is absolutely as beautiful on the inside as on the outside. She brings out the best in me.”
He added that he had “never, ever felt truly loved until Alexis.”
“I’ve never felt more like I have this true partner in life. I don’t keep anything from her,” he said. “We are 100% open book. We communicate better than I’ve ever communicated. I could go on and on and on.”
He also praised Bellino’s parenting, calling her an “incredible” mom.
Bellino shares three children, James, 18, and twins Mackenna and Miles, 16, with ex-husband Jim Bellino. Janssen also has three children.
“She’s funny as hell, we laugh all the time. She is an incredible person,” he said of Bellino. “And she is literally the best mother on the face of the Earth.”
