July is cause for a red, white and binge celebration. But with the barrage of streaming services and bottomless libraries on offer, indecision can spoil the fun. Luckily, you have TODAY.
Searching for the most buzzed-about new, classic and otherwise can’t-miss series, movies and documentaries hitting key platforms this month, we curated a superstar-spangled streaming list.
From Tony Hale and Zosia Mamet in “The Decameron,” a new period comedy series set during a deadly plague, to Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement’s latest surreal adventure, “Time Bandits,” starring Lisa Kudrow, the sparks will be flying.

“Joker”
Dark, darkly funny and deeply disturbing, Todd Phillips’ origin story for the Joker stars Joaquin Phoenix, who gives a strangely humanistic performance. Revisit the Oscar-winning crime drama ahead of the release of the sequel, “Joker: Folie à Deux,” which co-stars Lada Gaga and hits theaters in October.

It’s the 14th century, the bubonic plague is ravaging Florence, Italy, and the rich are seeking safety in the countryside — which may not be as safe as they think. A dark comedy series about secrets, class warfare and raunchy behavior, “The Decameron” stars Zosia Mamet and Tony Hale. Plus, the costumes are amazing.

But if there were any creatives worthy of trying, its frequent collaborators Taika Waititi (writer/director) and Jemaine Clement (writer). Bonus: Lisa Kudrow stars.
