What to know about actor Nicole Brydon Bloom, Justin Theroux’s fiancée

[ad_1]

Justin Theroux is an engaged man! The actor recently popped the question to fiancée Nicole Brydon Bloom.

The couple traveled to Italy to attend the Venice Film Festival in late August and to watch the world premiere of his upcoming film, “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.” While posing for photos on the red carpet Aug. 28, Bloom, who fittingly wore a white gown, smiled as she posed beside her fiancé with a noticeable sparkling diamond ring on that finger. Theroux grinned next to her in a matching white tuxedo jacket.

After their red carpet appearance, People reported that the two were engaged and Theroux proposed during their trip to Italy. The 53-year-old asked her to marry him with a custom 4-carat emerald cut ring by Stephanie Gottlieb Fine Jewelry, the outlet said.

Bloom and Theroux have been rumored to be dating for quite some time, but they have been tight-lipped when it comes to discussing their romance. They were first linked together in August 2023, according to E! News, before making their first public appearance together at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party in March.

Read on to learn more about Bloom and her career, below.

She is a fellow actor

Bloom has been acting for years, landing roles on shows like “The Affair” and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.” Last year, her character Maud Beaton was introduced in the second season of “The Gilded Age.”

She frequently posted about the series on Instagram, sharing behind-the-scenes looks of her elaborate gowns.

More recently, the actor appeared alongside Joey King and Logan Lerman in the Hulu miniseries “We Were the Lucky Ones,” which premiered in March.

She posted a video from the show’s set on Instagram in May. “So grateful for this one. And these beautiful, talented people,” she captioned the post. “Woweee I love ya ! #weweretheluckyones. All episodes streaming now in the US on @hulu.”

Next up, Bloom will co-star with Sterling K. Brown and James Marsden in a new Hulu drama from “This Is Us” creator Dan Fogelman, Deadline reported earlier this year.

She celebrated the casting news on social media at the time. “Thrilled to be starting this new project with such a fantastic team. Yay!!” she cheered

She has a musical theater background

Although her career has taken off in the last few years, Bloom has been acting since she was a child.

In July 2018, she uploaded an adorable throwback clip of her singing in a musical as a kid. “Nothing like prolonged hand-holding to make two ten year olds uncomfortable!!” she joked in the caption.

She portrayed Belle in a “Beauty and the Beast” production in Bardstown, Kentucky. Bloom shared a photo of her dressed as the princess on stage. “Every morning just the same,” she said in the caption, quoting a lyric from the song “Belle.”

She is the daughter of late NBC journalist David Bloom

The actor is the daughter of the late NBC journalist David Bloom, who was covering the war in Iraq in 2003 when he unexpectedly died of a blood clot from a deep vein thrombosis. Bloom and her twin sister Christine Bloom, were just 9 at the time and their younger sister, Ava Bloom, was 3, mom Melanie Bloom recalled in a TODAY.com essay she penned last year about her husband’s death and DVT.

On April 3, 2006, the 20th anniversary of her dad’s death, the actor wrote a heartfelt tribute for him on Instagram

Bloom’s post included a picture of her father seemingly reporting in the field, a portrait of the Bloom family and a video montage of his reporting on NBC News and TODAY.

“20 years ago today my dad died while covering the war in Iraq,” she began in the caption. “Forever proud of him, endeared by his sense of humor and in awe of his intelligence and commitment to the truth.”

She added, “We miss you every day Dad. Thank you for being such an incredible role model and father. Very grateful for the time we had. Love you to the moon and back @todayshow.”
