NOT ALL ABOUT BIKES

Re: Pedalling policy ideas; Local councillor at odds with province over anti-bike lane plan, Sept. 23

I support the province’s direction on fewer bike lanes.

The City of Ottawa needs to cater less to biking special interest groups and pay more attention to the multiple problems affecting the city. Far too much money is spent on bike lanes.

We need choice, and that includes cars on the road. I agree with traffic-calming measures, but not increasing bike lanes because some councillors like to bike.

Ottawa is more than the interests of a select few.

SHOW SOME RESPECT

The recent heated exchange between the Conservative leader and the NDP was enough for me to vote for the Liberals again if an election is called. Show some respect, please. In heated scenes, people will say unwanted things, only to realize it is too late and say sorry. I hope other MPs do not behave like these two did.

STUPID DEBT TRICKS

Too bad it wasn’t a few years back; instead of going on Stephen Colbert, Justin Trudeau could have gone on David Letterman and appeared on “Stupid Debt Tricks”.

CRINGEWORTHY AND CONDESCENDING

How much more cringeworthy and condescending can Trudeau get? He goes to the Summit of the Future in New York (it should be called the summit for a bleak future with “leaders” like Trudeau) and gives one of his usual boring lectures to a very sparse and uninterested audience.

Then he shows up on the totally woke Stephen Colbert show where I believe he simply made a fool of himself and totally misrepresented Canada. He forgot to mention how unpopular and sick Canadians are of him and his cronies.

STILL WAITING, JUSTIN

I hear Justin Trudeau brag about our health-care system to the U.S.A. on TV. Well, I would like to say how it really works and the waiting people have to go through. Such as I’m doing and many others who are more important because it could mean the difference between life and death for them where it just means prolonged chronic pain for me.
