The great thing about an Ottawa Senators’ season is that it’s over in two months, leaving plenty of time to enjoy other winter activities.

Don’t be surprised, my fellow Sens’ fans, to see new team owner Michael Andlauer request a team move after this season. Remember, you heard it here first … Kansas City Senators, anyone?

HELP, THEY’RE SHRINKING

The food professor was discussing shrinkflation the other day, on the news. Something I haven’t really paid much attention to.

Later I found a container of dish detergent that had successfully been hiding in my storage cupboard. Guess what? The old one contained 30 ounces or 887 ml; the last one I purchased contained 20 ounces or 591 ml. Please note that the price has remained the same. It hasn’t decreased by even one cent.

REEKS OF DESPERATION

Re: Temporary GST holiday on some groceries, Nov. 22

Oh, the desperation of it all. Short-term gain for even longer-term pain.

Obesity is rampant, so provide cheaper chips and cakes. Diabetes is rising, so lower the cost of candies and chocolates.

Enable drunk driving with tax-free beer and wine. Solve the housing crisis with discount doll houses. Promote toy cars instead of real ones (especially for MPs).

Save on video games for the already mentally distracted and physically flabby.

This is the latest Justin Trudeau trifecta: clueless, conniving, contemptuous.

And worst of all?

You Liberal voters will re-elect him whenever that time comes again.

EMBARRASSES US AGAIN

Re: PM abandons Israel, emboldens Jew haters, editorial, Nov. 22

Once again, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has embarrassed Canadians on the world stage, this time by threatening to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he sets foot on Canadian soil due to charges laid at the International Criminal Court.

This is just another obvious ploy by the federal Liberals to garner more votes from the anti-Israeli segment of the Canadian population. What a disgrace that Canada’s international policy is influenced by the Liberals’ futile attempt to be re-elected.
