YOU SAID IT: PM pays homage at court of master

Terror-stricken by the word “tariff” in Donald Trump’s playbook, our wimpy prime minister made his pilgrimage to Mar-a-Lago to bend the knee before his master. He was hoping to get a few crumbs from the table. Disgusting.

Threats are a negotiating tactic, but Wimpy T does not know this. Others have always done the hard stuff for him. He appears in the photo-op.

Trump does not like Justin Trudeau, so why irritate the president-elect in advance? Instead, find some business realists and prepare scenarios for any eventuality.

And, yes, do turn back all those economic migrants and terrorists at our borders. That should have been done years ago.

After all, not all of them will vote Liberal.

But, if Trump’s rhetoric can fix our leaky borders and military mess, I nominate him for Canadian prime minister in 2028!

OIL AND GAS COULD SAVE US

So here is the absolute irony that will drive the left berserkoid.

Our major (Trump) card to be played while dealing with Donald Trump is the very fact the Americans import great quantities of our oil and gas.

While our leftist climate warriors fight us on every corner, it is still a commodity that carries a great deal of clout and may very well keep us from being pummelled by a 25-per-cent tariff.

Thank you, Alberta, for putting up with us, and we hope that our new government treats you with the respect you deserve.

LISTEN HERE, JUSTIN

Donald Trump got the attention of Mexico and Canada by threatening a 25-per-cent tariff on imports from these countries unless they take action to secure their borders.

During the Mar-a-Lago meeting with Trump, Justin Trudeau mostly did the listening. Trudeau continues to be an embarrassment on the world stage due to his radical policies.

Trudeau’s open-border policy precipitated this serious trade crisis. Trudeau now must demonstrate efforts to secure the border before the threat of tariffs will be lifted by Trump.
